Weekends are lovely. Midweek is quietly better. When you come Sunday through Thursday, the river is yours, the trails are empty, and the tables that are impossible on a Saturday are simply available. Our local partners have time to sit with you rather than serve you between rushes.
Nothing is scaled back midweek. The stay is the same length, the same meals, the same care—you just get more of the Catskills to yourself.
Curated Around Your Interests
Before your arrival, we work with you to shape your time in the Catskills. Guests often build their stays around experiences such as fly fishing, hiking, snowshoeing, visiting local galleries, exploring breweries, or simply enjoying the slower rhythm of the region.
We handle the reservations, the timing, and the recommendations so the days feel effortless. Your restaurant dinner includes a private driver, so you can enjoy the evening without thinking about the drive home. Additional driving hours can be arranged in advance for an added cost.
Guided by Local Expertise
For guests interested in fishing and nature-based experiences, we partner with local guide Matthew Sudol, a seasoned fisheries and wildlife professional with over a decade of hands-on experience working with the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation and the New York City Department of Environmental Protection.
His work has included fish population surveys, electrofishing, water quality analysis, and wildlife identification across New York's rivers, lakes, and reservoirs. With a deep understanding of aquatic ecosystems, birdlife, and native habitats, Matthew brings a thoughtful, informed perspective to every outing.
Through The Yarra, he offers guided fly fishing trips and nature walks that go beyond the basics—sharing insight into local species, seasonal conditions, and the landscape itself. Whether casting a line or exploring the surrounding terrain, the experience is as much about understanding the Catskills as it is enjoying it.
Pricing
Experiences begin at $1,950 for two guests, plus taxes
Additional guests may be added depending on availability. Certain guided activities such as fishing, and any private transportation beyond your dinner evening, may have additional costs. All rates are subject to applicable taxes.
How Booking Works
Step One
Tell us you're interested and roughly when you'd like to come. That's all we need to start.
Step Two
We send a short questionnaire—art, hiking, fishing, snowshoeing, food and wine—and build your itinerary and quote around your answers.
Step Three
A 50% deposit confirms your dates and allows us to secure reservations on your behalf.
Step Four
The remaining balance is due 30 days before arrival.
Because each stay involves guides, drivers, and restaurant reservations booked in advance on your behalf, cancellation terms differ from a standard room reservation. Deposits are non-refundable once vendor arrangements have been made.
Complete payment and cancellation terms are included with your itinerary, and we're glad to walk you through them before you commit.
